🚩 RED FLAGS IN HAIR CARE 🚩 7 Things You're Doing That Hurt Your Hair 🤕

Hair Care is slowly becoming the new Skin Care, so it's about time we started paying closer attention to the healthy (and not so healthy) habits that might be causing our precious locks harm.

Is your hair feeling particularly fragile these days? Are you noticing a few-more split ends than usual? These simple things could be to blame👇

🚩  Using heat on your hair every single day. No matter how heavily you're dowsing the locks in heat-protectant spray, your silky locks won't stand a chance against constant heat styling. Why not try out some heatless hair tools, instead? Shop our favourite one here

🚩  Sleeping with wet hair. Hair is at its most delicate when wet, so sleeping with wet hair is never a good idea - as the tossing and turning during the night is certain to result in a few too-many broken strands.

🚩  Using a regular towel to dry your hair with. Regular cotton/hand towels can be super rough on our precious strands, resulting in more unnecessary breakage & excess frizz! Combat all of this whilst also reducing drying time by investing in a Microfibre Hair Towel - shop them on our website!

🚩  Brushing your hair too aggressively and with the wrong brushes. If you use the same brush for everything - styling, dry hair, wet hair - then this is your sign to expand your brush collection. I use a different brush for everything, ranging from The Wet Brush, Tangle Teezers to wide tooth combs. Along with using the right brushes, it's SUPER important to be gentle when combing your locks, work from the bottom of the hair upwards & don't drag the brush through knots. If you're looking for the best all-rounder hair brush, check out our FAVOURITE one here

🚩  Sleeping on the wrong type of pillowcase. Cotton pillowcases can cause excessive hair breakage, so why not swap to a more gentle silk or satin alternative? These help to reduce frizz, snapping, split ends & will leave your hair glowing. Shop our satin pillowcases on our website!

🚩  Using tight elastic bands to tie your hair back. Yep, the tight elastic bands we've all known & used since forever have turned out to be pretty harmful for the health of our hair. Not only do they place too much tension on our scalp (leading to potential headaches & hair loss, yikes!), but they can result in a serious amount of breakage. Why not swap to using satin/silk scrunchies and/or no break ties? Not only do they look cuter, but they're also way more gentle on your delicate lengths.

🚩  Not sticking to a haircare routine. The key to healthy hair is to find a routine that works for you & commit to it religiously!
