What Is a Pre-Wash Hair Oil? 🤔 Pre-wash oiling is a step that so many people overlook in their hair care routine but often, that’s simply because they don’t really know what it is or why it matters. So, let’s break it down 🤝… A pre-wash treatment is a step you do before shampooing your hair. All you need to do is apply to your scalp and lengths and ends once or twice a week and leave on your hair for 1-4 hours 🫧 Pre-wash treatments are also a great way to target specific hair concerns. Whether you’re dealing with thinning, oiliness, breakage, or general dryness, adding this step can help support healthier, more resilient hair over time. Why Use a Pre-Wash? 🧐 Shampoo is designed to cleanse your scalp and remove dirt, oil, and buildup but in doing so, it can also strip away some of your hair’s natural moisture. A pre-wash acts as a protective buffer, helping to prevent your hair from becoming overly dry, brittle, or prone to breakage. That’s where our syrups come in. Each blend is designed to target a specific hair or scalp concern, so you can tailor your pre-wash routine to exactly what your hair needs: Rapunzel – helps to lengthen short, stagnant hair 👑 Growsmary – helps thicken hair and support thinning or balding patches 🌿 Mint Condition – soothes a dry, irritated scalp 💚 Lemon Aid – helps balance an oily scalp and extend time between washes 🍋 Superfoods – deeply hydrates dry, dehydrated hair 💦 Vitamin C Me – helps strengthen hair and reduce breakage 🍊 Zen – deeply conditions, adding softness and shine 💜 Original – helps smooth knots and tangles for easier detangling 💫   How to use: Start by gently stimulating your scalp for a few minutes using a scalp massager. This helps increase blood flow to the scalp, allowing the oils to reach the hair follicles and support healthier hair growth.   Next, brush through your hair to remove any knots or tangles. We highly recommend using our Flexi Brush, designed with soft pin bristles to help reduce breakage while gently detangling without pulling or discomfort.     Once your hair is tangle free, apply your chosen syrup directly to the scalp and massage it in thoroughly. Then distribute the product through your mid-lengths and ends, brushing through again to ensure the oil is evenly spread.   After application, tie your hair up and allow the treatment to marinate for 1–4 hours before washing. When it’s time to rinse, make sure to double cleanse to fully remove the oil and leave your hair feeling fresh and clean.     If you have different needs for your scalp and your lengths, you can use one syrup on the scalp and another on the mid-lengths and ends. We don’t recommend mixing syrups together directly, as they are already pre-diluted and combining them may reduce their effectiveness. Alternatively, you can alternate between syrups depending on your hair’s needs but all can be used across the entire hair if preferred. 2026 So Far: Our Biggest Year Yet 🌟

2026 has already been a whirlwind for Hair Syrup and we’re only just getting started. From major milestones to unforgettable moments with our community, it’s been a year packed with excitement, growth, and a few “pinch us” experiences along the way. We kicked things off in style as Lucie and Lucy headed out to Los Angeles for some very exciting business (we’ll keep the details under wraps for now 👀). Of course, they couldn’t go all that way without bringing Hair Syrup along for the ride, and yes, our bottles made it all the way to the iconic Hollywood sign. Back home, we’ve hit some huge retail milestones, launching in 400 additional Boots stores across the UK. Even more? We’ve worked out that we’re now selling over one bottle of Hair Syrup every single minute. That’s still hard to wrap our heads around 🤯 It’s also been a big year for events and community moments. The girls headed to Cosmoprof Bologna, and we celebrated hitting 100K followers on Instagram, a huge milestone for us. And of course, a massive highlight: Lucie being named in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. A truly incredible achievement and one we couldn’t be prouder of 🥹 Behind the scenes, we’ve been just as busy. We’ve been working on something very exciting, our very own shampoo and conditioner. It’s been a huge project for us, and we genuinely can’t wait to share more with you soon.  We’ve also loved getting out and meeting you in person. From our Boots pop up in Leeds, where we gave away free 50ml bottles and chatted with so many of you, to speaking at Grow Beauty at Shoreditch House about social media and brand growth. Our social media manager Lucy is usually the one working her magic behind the scenes rather than on the mic, so seeing both her and Lucie take the stage together was a proud moment for us all. The iconic duo doing their thing 🌟🎤👯 And we couldn’t forget our most recent event, our pop-up at Hii Grind in Leeds. We created a full menu of drinks inspired by our syrups, complete with coloured cold foams to match your favourite formulas. Alongside every drink, we handed out some free 50ml syrups to everyone who stopped by. The turnout completely blew us away with a queue that stretched all the way down the road. It was such a special day, and honestly, nothing beats getting to meet our community face to face 💛 If the start of 2026 is anything to go by, this year is shaping up to be our biggest yet. We’ve got lots more in the pipeline and can’t wait to share what’s coming next.

Big news… like really big news. Our CEO Lucie has landed a spot on the Forbes 30 Under 30, and yes, we’re still screaming about it 🤯🌟 If you’re not already in the know, the Forbes 30 Under 30 is basically the list. Every year, it celebrates 30 of the most exciting, hard working and inspiring people under 30 across different industries, and now, Lucie is officially one of them!! Even cooler? She’s featured alongside some seriously inspiring names like Molly-Mae Hague, founder of Maebe, and Daisy Kelly, founder of Glow For It, among many others making waves in their fields. (You can explore the full list over on Forbes’ website: Retail & Ecommerce - Forbes 30 Under 30 2026) But here’s our favourite part: this all started by accident. Five years ago, Lucie was just trying to fix her damaged hair. No business plan, no big strategy, just homemade hair oils. She started sharing her journey on TikTok, and then… boom. One video went viral, and suddenly everyone wanted a bottle. Picture this: mixing oils in her parents’ conservatory, packing orders between uni deadlines, and figuring it all out as she went. What started as a side hustle quickly spiralled (in the best way) into something huge, and that’s how Hair Syrup was born. Fast forward to now, and Lucie is one of the most recognisable young entrepreneurs in Europe. Crazy!! We couldn’t be prouder. This moment is proof that sometimes the best ideas come from the most unexpected places, and that a little passion (and a lot of hard work) can take you very far 🏆👑
