Apply a coin sized amount to wet hands and rub them together to emulsify the gel. Apply directly to the scalp and massage into a rich lather, working through the roots before rinsing thoroughly 🧼

🎨 “Is the shampoo colour safe?”
Our shampoo is suitable for cleansing colour treated hair, but it hasn’t been specifically formulated or tested as a colour protecting shampoo.
It contains Sodium Coco-Sulfate for an effective, thorough cleanse, so if you have particularly vibrant, semi permanent or fade prone colour, we recommend using it less frequently or alternating it with a dedicated colour protecting shampoo 💗
💆 “Can I shampoo twice?”
Yes! We always recommend double cleansing, particularly if you have oil in your hair.
Think of it like this: the first cleanse helps lift oil, product and build up, while the second cleanse gives you that fuller, satisfying lather and super fresh feeling ✨
If you have drier hair, you may find that one cleanse is enough, it’s all about finding what works for your hair.
🚿 “Can I use it every day?”
This totally depends on your hair and scalp!
Because Rapunzel Shampoo provides a thorough cleanse, those with dry, processed or colour treated hair may prefer to use it less frequently, while oilier hair types may enjoy using it more regularly.

🥥 “Is the shampoo sulphate-free?”
No, our formula contains Sodium Coco-Sulfate (SCS), a coconut-derived cleansing surfactant.
SCS creates that rich, satisfying lather while helping to effectively lift excess oil, dirt and product build up from the hair and scalp 🫧
👀 So, why is it in there?
Because effective cleansing matters!
Hair oils, styling products, dry shampoo and everyday impurities can build up on your scalp and hair. SCS provides the primary cleansing power needed to remove this build up, leaving your scalp and roots feeling properly fresh and clean 🛁✨
SCS is sometimes described as a milder alternative to SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate). Scientifically, it’s a mixture of sulfated fatty alcohols derived from coconut oil, rather than one single surfactant 🥥
And when it comes to how gentle a shampoo feels, the whole formula matters, not just one ingredient.
Our SCS is combined with Cocamidopropyl Betaine and Coco-Glucoside, which work alongside it as part of a balanced cleansing system.

The shampoo has the same iconic fragrance as our best-selling Rapunzel, think fresh grapefruit notes on a chocolate orange base.

The concentrated jelly-like gel texture is designed to be emulsified between wet hands before applying it to your scalp.
Once water is added and the product is worked between your hands, it spreads easily and creates that gorgeous, rich lather 🫧

Different extension methods have different aftercare requirements, so we always recommend following the advice of your extension professional.
Please note that Rapunzel Shampoo contains sulphates, so check that it’s suitable for your specific extension method before use.
