Ever since we launched our shampoo and conditioner, life at Hair Syrup HQ has been a little bit CRAZY (in the best way possible, of course!). We've been non stop, so we thought it was about time for a little catch up on everything we've been getting up to. Grab a cuppa, girlies, because we've got LOTS to talk about! ☕💌

LUCIE MET MOLLY-MAE?! 👀💗

Okay, first things first… can we talk about the fact that our founder, Lucie, met THE Molly Mae?!

And it gets even better. When they met, Molly actually said, "Are you the owner of Hair Syrup? I see you on my FYP like once a day."

AND THAT, girlies, is exactly why we post 20 times a day 👏👏👏

If you've been here for a while, you might remember that we spotted Hair Syrup in one of Molly Mae's vlogs towards the end of last year (yes, we were fangirling then too). So, for Lucie to actually meet Molly in person AND for Molly to recognise Hair Syrup?! Talk about a full circle moment 🥹💗

Next stop… DUBLIN, BABY! ✈️🍀

In case you missed it, Hair Syrup has officially landed in Chemist Warehouse Ireland, so of course we had to hop on a plane to see our products in store in person!

With a brand new Chemist Warehouse store opening in Dublin's Ilac Shopping Centre, we thought, what better excuse to host a little Hair Syrup pop up?! 💗

We got to meet SO many lovely Irish girlies, have a good old haircare chat and even play haircare doctors for the day! 🩺💅 We created personalised haircare prescriptions based on everyone's hair concerns, and sent them off with a goody bag featuring their recommended Hair Syrup sample to try at home. Because who doesn't love a little freebie?!

Honestly, meeting our community IRL and introducing new people to the world of Hair Syrup is one of our FAVOURITE things to do. It never gets old! 🥹

And obviously, we couldn't go all the way to Dublin without making a cheeky little stop at Temple Bar. It would've been rude not to, right?! 🍀🪩

We honestly couldn't be happier for her! 💖

And can we just take a moment to appreciate the YEAR she's had?! Launching Hair Syrup into over 600 Boots stores across the UK and Ireland, taking over the US with our Target launch, making it onto the Forbes 30 Under 30 list and NOW getting engaged?!

So, you LOVE hair oiling… but HATE when your hair still feels greasy after you’ve washed it? 🫠🧴 The secret isn’t ditching your oils, it’s washing them out properly 🫡 Pre-wash oiling is all about giving your hair that extra nourishment, but nobody wants to be left with a heavy, greasy feeling afterwards. So, here’s how to get all the goodness from your oiling routine while leaving your hair feeling clean, fresh and bouncy 💁 Step 1: Get your hair wet 💦 Start by thoroughly saturating your hair with lukewarm water. Make sure your scalp, lengths and ends are completely wet before reaching for your shampoo. Step 2: Emulsify your shampoo 🫧 Before applying shampoo directly to your hair, emulsify it between your hands with a little water to create a smooth lather. Apply your first shampoo to your scalp and massage it in thoroughly, focusing on breaking down the oils and any product build up. When you rinse, allow the shampoo to naturally run through the lengths and ends of your hair. Step 3: Shampoo AGAIN 🧼🫧 Yep, we’re double cleansing! After pre-wash oiling, double cleansing is key to making sure you’ve properly removed the oils from your scalp and hair. Repeat the shampooing process, giving your scalp another thorough (but gentle!) cleanse before rinsing really well. 💡 Top tip: A shampoo brush can help loosen stubborn oils and give your scalp a more thorough cleanse. Step 4: Condition, condition, condition 💆 Once your hair is squeaky clean and oil free, apply a high quality conditioner through your mid-lengths and ends. Leave it to marinate for around 2-5 minutes before rinsing. Your hair should be left feeling beautifully clean, soft and nourished ✨ Still struggling with greasy residue? Try this 👀 If you’ve followed all of these steps and your oils are STILL leaving your hair feeling greasy, we have one more trick for you… Apply conditioner directly over your oiled hair a few minutes BEFORE shampooing 🧴 This can help loosen and lift the oils, making them easier to wash away when you shampoo. Follow with your usual double cleanse and conditioner routine. We bought a box at Ariana Grande’s Eternal Sunshine Tour 2026!! 💖🎀⭐ In 2025 we made the decision to treat our community to something really special, and the response was beyond anything we could have imagined. Thousands of you sent us videos and posted TikToks sharing why you’d love to join us in the box. We heard so many heartwarming and incredible stories, and choosing who to bring was almost impossible. On Christmas Day, we finally announced the gorgeous group who would be joining us (although we really wished we could have taken every single one of you 🥹). Then, last week, the day finally arrived! Lucie and Lucy brought everyone together for a night filled with laughter, singing, dancing and new friendships. 🐝💛 It was a true “we made it” moment for us. Being able to bring our community together and give them an experience they’ve always dreamed of is something we’ll never forget. We’re so grateful that Hairsyrup has allowed us to create moments like this with the people who have supported us along the way 🫶🫶 Like… wdym making hair oils led to THIS?! 😭 And we fear we may have started a new annual tradition… securing a box at an iconic concert and filling it with real fans 👀 Who’s coming with us next year? 😏 Anyway, enough from us, here’s what some of the beautiful messages our community who joined us had sent us afterwards… 💌
